Somerton man assaulted man in 'violent and unprovoked attack'

A SOMERTON man who had been drinking when he assaulted a man in a violent and unprovoked attack after misinterpreting some horseplay has been given an 18 week suspended prison sentence. Alexander Messenger had been drinking in Yeovil town centre when he saw the victim pretend to steal a woman's handbag and run across the road with it.
