A GLASTONBURY man who denied assaulting a police officer during an incident in the town has been ordered to stand trial before Somerset Magistrates.Nathan Williams, 26, of St Johns Square, appeared before the court at Yeovil charged with assaulting a police constable in the execution of his duty on October 30.He pleaded not guilty to the offence and after the matter was reviewed it was adjourned for a trial to take place on January 4.Until then the defendant was given unconditional bail.
